Rose Constance Tonelli Steinhoff

Our sweet mother, Rose Steinhoff (Tonelli), passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family and friends. Rose was the loving wife of the late John Steinhoff (November 15, 2015). She was loving mother to Carla Hodgkiss, Susan Mora (Maurizio) and Heather Steinhoff (Brian Matcheski). Adored grandmother to Matthew and Kaitlyn Hodgkiss. Predeceased by her parents Dominic and Nancy Tonelli. Beloved sister of Angie Williams(late Doug Williams) and the late Bob Tonelli. Sister-in-law to Jean Schwandt (Wayne), Charlie Steinhoff (Sandra), and Lynn Dodman (Ross).

Rose will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, grandpuppies, and so many friends. Rose lived life to the fullest - she may have been small in stature but left a big impression on all who met her. Many thanks to Dr. C. Geurtjens, the staff at Guelph General Hospital and Grand River Cancer Centre and the nurses at Paramed. Special thanks to the amazing staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington for their compassionate care of our mother.

A visitation will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 3-7 p.m. To attend a visitation time, please RSVP on the funeral home website, under Rose’s obituary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Wellington, the St. Vincent de Society Guelph or the Canadian Cancer Society. Donations can be made in person at the funeral home or online on her memorial page.
