Ross Montague Monty Root

ROOT, Montague (Monty)-- Passed away at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, on Thursday, April 24, 2008. Long-time hockey fan, armchair philosopher, and small-town boulivardier, in his 95th year, Monty was predeceased by his wife Lorraine and son Jody. Father of Gerry, Burnie, Kevin, Robin, Sandy, and Peter Root. Proud grandpa of Bradon, Jared, Halsea, Isobel, and Toby Root. He was predeceased by his sisters and brother. Monty was a former long-time Rockwood resident, and more recently, lived at the Heritage River Retirement Community in Elora. Trout streams are safe everywhere.
