Scott Fricker

Fricker, Scott-- Peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Guelph General Hospital , on Sunday, March 17, 2013. Scott Fricker was the beloved husband of Kathy (Swan) Fricker of Guelph. He was the loving father of Kelly and her partner John, and Daniel and his partner Dan. Scott was the beloved son of Betty and the late Arthur Fricker. He was the dear brother of Lynne and her husband Mike Kershaw, Stewart Fricker and Silvia, and the late Marsha. Scott will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Dave Swan. Private cremation has taken place. A Toast in Scott's honour will be held this Friday evening from 4-8 p.m. at the Green Room, in Guelph, 41 Quebec St. (above the Bookshelf). Scott did not want a traditional funeral--instead, he'd hoped for his friends and family to gather together and raise a glass. Please join us as we celebrate an incredible life. Dress casually--no black, no suits, no tie required.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be made in Scott's name to our local chapter of KidSport Canada an organization that provides youth with the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sport --ensuring no kid is left on the sidelines. To Kelly and Daniel, Scott was always considered both dad and coach. Whether courtside or in the rink, Scott taught his children and many others the value of being part of a team, playing to the best of your ability and above all, enjoying a love of the game. Scott epitomized those values in the way he lived his life, even in his final days. Our coach will be sadly missed.
