

Barbara P. Klemm, was born March 13, 1918 in Drummond, Wisconsin and passed away January 22, 2013. She was a member of the Gurnee American Legion Auxiliary #771 for the past 73 years, having served as its president for four different terms, also treasurer; a member of Lake County Salon, 8/40, #171, having served as its chapeau three different terms and in many other offices. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Millburn Chapter #570, serving as its Worthy Matron in 1956 and 1976. She was secretary for 18 years and served in many of the stations numerous times. She is survived by one son, Robert (Joyce) Klemm; two daughters, Irene Diane (the late Edward Sr.) Smith of Gurnee and Hazel(the late Robert) Johnson Daley of Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph (Elaine) Brown of Florida, and special "son-in-law" Joe (Carol) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur; six sisters; four brothers; and her parents, Alexander and Hazel Brown. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 12pm with a visitation from 10am-12pm. She will be laid to rest in Warren Cemetery of Gurnee, Illinois.
