

Doc is survived by his wife of 69 years Mildred (Millie) Bollinger, his children Jerry (Ana) Bollinger, Dennis (Sue) Bollinger, Gail (Ron) Ciolek, granddaughters Heather (Keith) Hammer, Rachel Bollinger, Amanda (Johnathan) Parrott, Lindsay (Joe) Esch, Jaclyn (Jacob) Wetzel, Jessica (Jon) Turkowski, Christi Ciolek, Christi’s fiancé Cory Gonder, and a host of great grandchildren, nephews and nieces who will deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ina Bollinger, brothers, Clyde Bollinger, Glenn Bollinger, Larry Bollinger, infant twin siblings Dickie Ray Bollinger and Lola Mae Bollinger, sister in laws Gladys Bollinger, Lois Bollinger, June Bollinger, nephew Randall Bollinger.
Doc was employed by the Johns-Manville Corporation for 36 years and had been retired from Johns-Manville for the past 37 years. Doc and Millie traveled the country in their RV for many years. They wintered in south/eastern Texas for several years. He also enjoyed watching his granddaughters and great grandchildren play their sports.
Family and friends will meet for visitation on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 4pm-7pm with service to follow at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. Burial will be at 10:00am on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Highland Memorial Park, 33100 N. Hunt Club Road, Libertyville, IL.
