Delmer H. (Dusty) Powell Jr., 59, of Gurnee was born August 2, 1954 in Danville, IL and passed away suddenly November 13, 2013 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Dusty was dedicated to the game of golf, was an avid reader of historical novels and was a history buff who loved to visit battlefields and historical sites on vacations. Dusty was the beloved husband of Lore A. nee Lemke; loving father of Meghan E. Powell (Kyle) Filler, Jonathan P. Powell, Alexander J. McClory, Daniel J. McClory and Katherine M. McClory; devoted son of Delmer H. Sr. and Margaret E. (nee Reik) Powell and dear brother of Lisa (Marvin) Mathius. Visitation will be Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 2:00 PM until time of funeral service 7:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home 305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee. Graveside service and interment will be held Monday November 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL. Contributions may be made to Mano-A-Mano Family Resource Center, 6 E.
