I just found that Grace had passed away. I am so saddened and add my condolences to all family and friends. I knew Grace from working at TAP and with Carol. I am so sorry I did not know. She was a very spiritual person and will be greatly missed. God bless.



I was so shocked to learn that my cousin Grace had passed away. You will be remembered always. All the picnics we had together were so great. The picture in my mind will be your smile and kindness you always gave everyone around you. God has called you home but we will have the memories of you always.

What I know is that Grace left behind a legacy of love. A deep love for her family and friends that will be impossible to replace. I've been blessed with knowing Grace for 20+ years and have always been on the winning side of her love and friendship. Her gift to all of us who have known her has been her acceptance of where we were at that moment. Her counsel to many has kept us afloat during our struggles. Her gift of joy and laughter will comfort us as we reflect on our loss of God's treasure. Grace, I weep at the thought of living without your friendship. But I celebrate the gift of having had you in my life. We will meet again in "glory land" dear, dear friend!

To My Beloved Grace

Grace and I basically spent the last 18 years of our friendship on the phone--- daily, weekly, monthly; sometimes hourly! Yes we were able to meet up occasionally at our beloved Richard Rohr conferences, ACT gatherings, trips such as the one to Mexico, and most memorably, during my visits to Gurnee. Our greatest bond though, was a heavenly one.

Grace was a glowing, shining jewel in my life. She had a way of naming me and claiming me as a spiritual daughter, and I was so proud that she was my spiritual mother. She lit up my life with her inimitable faith, her raucous laughter, her hilarious sense of humor, her own roller coaster of life, and her deep, deep love of Jesus.

Grace was good at giving me reality checks. After 10 minutes of sob stories over the phone for which I sought consolation which could be more accurately described as pity, I would receive one of her three favorite responses: "That's a crock of *beep*; "What the "blank" was that about?" or "Ya wanna know something...." The truth is, Grace carried me through my darkest days for years with her prayers and unconditional, unfailing, tender love. She smothered me with the Holy Spirit, forever changing my life.  I will deeply miss this great, generous, pioneering woman of unmatched faith, devoted to her Jesus. I hope I can hold her in my heart long enough to become just a fraction of the great human being she was. 

On Sunday, the 1st (her birthday), as I received communion during mass, I felt a great rush come over me. I felt a deep sense that she and I were sharing our hearts together in oneness with the Father. I felt her presence within me. I felt a new dimension and depth in our relationship. I felt her as whole, holy, and home. I felt her to be so very, very strong in the Lord's presence, honored and fully loved. I am remembering the words of the old hymn, "Rejoice for the Lord brings back his own!" Grace, my dear spiritual mother, I will love you forever. See you in GLORYLAND!!

Sorry to hear the passing of Grace.   I've only known Grace for a few months at the Centre Club.   She was a sweet gentle woman.   Condolences to the family.

I knew Grace through my Mother growing up, going to prayer groups together. She was the nicest lady to us kids, always smiling, laughing, and letting us kids have fun. Great personality, she will be missed.

We'll never forget Grace's faith and joy, her upbeat and yet authentic and empathetic personality, her great smile and laugh, her constant readiness to help and to want to bless people. We were at a small healing ministry training seminar together once, and Grace got the name the "Praise Jesus lady," because that was her constant response to what God was doing among us. We'll miss you greatly, Gracie, but we have no doubt that you are rejoicing with Jesus now! Thanks for sharing your heart with us! And our prayers will continue for your family and all of us who miss you on this side of heaven. Love,

I love my Aunt Grace!!  She was one of the most important people in my life having introduced me to the Charismatic Movement back in the early 70's while still a bratty teenager.  My life was forever changed from that day on.  I am so happy for her to be where she desired to be, with Jesus.

Beautiful - sweet - Aunt Grace. You will be missed by so many. I remember your beautiful face and telling me how us Italian women don't wrinkle. Your gorgeous smell and just how wonderful you were to open your home to me and the kids when we relocated to Illinois. I will miss our talks, and your laugh. I know you're with Frank and Jean now and as on earth they're watching out for you - I feel good knowing that. I love you so much and will see you again. XoXo

What a shock to learn Grace had passed on. Grace was a beautiful person inside and out..loving, kind, and thoughtful.  It was a pleasure to hear her laugh. She had a great sense of humor, but most of all she loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart.  I  know she is at peace.

I will miss you so very much Aunt Grace! I will miss seeing you at our family gatherings and hearing your voice. Your name fit you perfectly. You are full of Grace, love and such an amazing Godly women. I love you dearly. I know you will be watching over us from heaven with Grandpa and Aunt Jean.

I count Grace as one of my dearest friends. We worked together for about 25 years and stayed friends beyond that. We had a lot of good times and we went through some bad times together. Her faith was something that she always held on to. I know she is in heaven singing with the angels. I loved her very much. Carol Otterson
