Jerry “Bing” Eames, 66, of Zion, Illinois passed away on June 27, 2011 in the North Chicago, VA. He was born December 20, 1944 in Duluth, MN. Jerry retired as an Army Veteran and worked for Public Works at Great Lakes NTC. During his life, he enjoyed hobbies such as antique cars, fishing, gun collecting, and music. He enjoyed working on projects in the garage, relaxing around a fire, and was a recreational pilot in his younger days. He is survived by his wife Jeanette; sons, Mark (Deb Parks) Eames, and Brian Eames, and daughter, Karin (Wesley) Carner; his brother and sisters; Barbara Anderson, Paul (Mary) Eames and Susan (Larry) Geisner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Signora “Babe” Erickson and Kenneth Eames and sister, Carol Eames and brother, Fredrick Eames.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 30th from 5-9pm at Marsh Funeral Home in Gurnee. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Park in Hermantown, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NRA or your local Veterans Association.
