Jesus F. Gonzalez

Jesus F. Gonzalez, 88, passed away January 26, 2013 at 12:25 am. He was born September 8, 1924 in Mexico City, Mexico to Jesus and Rosario Gonzalez. Jesus attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and worked at Abbott Laboratories until his retirement. He was married to Consuelo for 62 years until her passing 3 years ago. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Gerda Streibel) Gonzalez, Elizabeth (Wilmer) Caraballo, Bertha (Ken) Griffin, and Carlos (Zulma) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Lisa (Jose) Silva, Anthony (Janice) Caraballo, Kenny Griffin, Nick Griffin, Justin (Ashley) Caraballo, Jessica Gonzalez and Wesley Gonzalez; 9 great-grandchildren, Jayleen, Vyvianna, Alana, Evan, Joseph, Alexander, Christian, Braylon and Ashtin. He was preceded in death by his parents; his younger sister that died as a child and oldest son, Jesus Gonzalez, who died at birth. Jesus was very active; he enjoyed sports, especially racquetball, which he played until age 82. He loved music and was a good dancer. He also enjoyed traveling, Mexico and Hawaii being his favorite destinations. Most of all, he loved being with his beloved wife Chelo and spending time with his family. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 5-9 pm and Saturday 8:30-9:30 am at Marsh Funeral Home.
