To Kitty's Family:  I just came across (Nov 2016) the sad news of Kitty's passing.  She was a friend from OLPH and Marillac HS, but we lost touch over the years. Dear Kitty,
After 2 long years and an exhausting past 9 days, your final send off is complete. The outpouring of love has been amazing. There were so many friends and family who stopped by last night to see you, as well as today for the mass in your honor. You would've been so proud of Danny and Kelly's strength throughout all of this. You really did an amazing job raising those kids. And my brother Chip, your dear Ralph, he held you so tightly today as if he didn't want to let you go, and I know he didn't. His love for you is a love like no other, a love that goes beyond the living, a love that will continue to grow with each passing day, a love that will never cease.
Timmy's was roaring in celebration of your life. I've never seen so many people drinking Stella in my life! There were many a gold rimmed glasses raised in your name, as we all celebrated your life in true Irish fashion.
Yes, some tears were shed, and unfortunately they won't be the last. As special days approach, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc, tears will roll down our cheeks again. You see Kitty, you were loved. You were so special to so many people, and now somehow we must continue on without you. But although you will not be with us in the physical world, we know you will be watching over us as our guardian angel. God only picks the best of the best to be His angels, and Kitty, you are the best. You touched the lives of so many people, that you will live on forever in all our hearts. 
The past 2 days were not about saying goodbye to our friend, cousin, sister, mother, and wife. No, they were about celebrating your life and rejoicing in your love. 
So now Kitty, we are forced to continue on, but someday we will all see you again, and when we do, have the Stella waiting for us.

I especially liked Kitty's genuineness, humor and her drive. I had the pleasure of working with her and I felt like we were kindred spirits. At today's service, I saw how many lives she touched. I also heard about her incredible ability to make you feel like a close friend in a short amount of time. That's what she did with me. I miss her, but I also know that she is in a special place.

I was fortunate to have lived around the corner from Kitty as we grew up in Glenview.  Then years later by chance we found each other again and I was blessed to have Danny and Kelly stay with me for years at my home for daycare.  There were so many fun and happy memories that we would share each night.  Thank you for sharing your family with me Kitty you will truly be missed!

I so enjoyed working with Kitty in Occupational Health. She was always there with a smile & a willingness to help to make our jobs easier. She would speak so lovingly of you all...I felt like I knew you by the wonderful stories she would share. She truly was a happy & loving person..I was lucky to call her my friend. She will be in all of our hearts forever!

Kitty we became good friends as we sat together several nights a week for many years at school, doing homework together, don't  forget about our "Toms" presentation and our end of semester celebrations!!  . You have taught me so much more then those books! Your love for your family,  passion for life and giving heart that never stopped. I am blessed and honored to call you my friend. Remember the funny way how I met Ralph, fixing my cable and noticed my books and told me about his wife that was also going to school and how proud  he was of her!  Small world .. Thank you for the many wonderful times and memories.  Ralph, Danny and Kelly , Kitty spoke about you all so often, and she was so proud of all of you.  I will miss you my dear friend, you will always be in my heart.  When  I have a McDonald's Diet Coke or a Stella it be in honor of you.

Over the last few months whenever Tim McGraw sang the words, "always be humble and kind" I thought of my friend Kitty.  A wonderful, kind, humble woman.  I have and will always treasure our friendship.  Kitty always made things happen.  She loved to plan the next outing or gathering and it was always "the more, the merrier." It was a privilege to care for Kitty and a pleasure getting to know her over the past couple of years. We will miss her kind and genuine smile greatly! Our thoughts and prayers for peace are with Ralph and family.

Kitty and I have been friends for 44 years! We had so much fun in high school and she was and always will be one of the girls!  So many laughs, tears, experiences!  We lived together and took some wonderful trips together!  She was in my wedding!  Even though I moved away, we still could pick up right where we left off! My friend!  I will miss you so and my visits back home will never be the same!  Rest peacefully Kitty!  You are loved so much and we will pick up where we left off another time! Love you!

Kitty was an amazingly strong woman who modeled bravery, friendship, love & an wonderful zest for life.  Kitty will certainly be missed & never forgotten by all of the memories she shared with everyone that she touched.

My cousin Kitty will be remembered for her smile, her humor, her grace and the twinkle in her eyes.  You will be missed by all of us and we love you very much. But we know you are in heaven watching down on us along with your folks and my dad your Uncle Bill.

I am so sorry for your loss of your wonderful wife and mother.  I know her passing will leave a heartfelt void in your lives, but know that she will be looking down on you with love and pride.

I have such fond memories of Kitty in our late twenties and early thirties when life seemed so simple and laughs and joy dominated every day.  We matured from those days to juggling life balance of family, work and less play.  Kitty always made me laugh and her smile was contagious. I was greatly impressed by Kitty the two times that I had the honor and privilege of working with her. During our Reiki sessions. I felt the love that surrounded her and I'm certain that she is now in the arms of angels. She is blessed to have been so loved and well cared for in her life. Her courage and strength were quite remarkable, and the support she received from her loving family and friends not only inspired her to live but also gave her the peace to let go. She knew she was loved, and in the end that's all that really matters.

The Reichenbach family is in my thoughts.  I enjoyed sitting next to Kitty at soccer games--laughing, sharing stories of the joys of motherhood, and cheering for our daughters. I hope happy memories of your wife/mom sustain you in the coming days.

We moved away from Gurnee 10 years ago but we still have many fond memories of Kitty sitting in the stands watching the boys play soccer.  Most of our social life revolved around the boys and all the families involved with the soccer team.  We have other memories including a pool party at Highland Park Hospital Health & Fitness, going out for soup & pizza, and the occasional beer.  She will be greatly missed and our deepest sympathies go out to the family.
