

Larry John Weil, age 67 of Grayslake, Il passed away peacefully in his home on Jan 3,2025. He was surrounded by his family in his final days. Larry was born on May 23, 1957 in Highland Park, Il. He grew up in Highland Park and graduated from Deerfield High School.
Larry is survived by his wife Coriena Weil of 41 years and their three wonderful children: Jonathan Weil, Christine (Marc) Mirretti and William Weil. He was proud of his children and overjoyed with three beautiful granddaughters: Lucy Margaret, Rose Wendi and Eleanor Coriena. Larry is survived by his brother and sisters: David (Susan) Weil of North Chicago, Il, Lisa (Mike) Church of Round Lake, Il and Sheila Vleck of Grayslake, Il.
He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and George Weil, brothers Tom (George T), Dan and Johnny and sister Sharon.
Larry enjoyed sharing stories of his adventurous youth which often sounded too good to be true, he was blessed with many good adventures.
His greatest joy was his family and family always came first. He enjoyed golfing and always made friends on the 19th hole! He loved spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered by many neighbors as having the best parties on 4th of July and New Years Eve! With Larry, you couldn’t have enough fireworks! He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.
He made his career in landscaping with Mariani Landscape and found his calling for working with people to provide high quality service with a personal touch. The green over green Mariani truck was a signature look in his driveway with a yard the envy of all around.
A visitation for Larry will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Marsh Funeral Home (305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL) from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (6401 Gages lake Road, Gurnee, IL) with interment to immediately follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery (1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL). In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice in Larry’s memory.
