This is a core memory of my time spent with her. She taught me how to braid and take care of my skin. When I was younger my mom wasn’t a very girly person so Lisa brought that side out of me and I wouldn’t be the same without it. Last time I saw her was on February 18, 2023. We jammed to Rihanna in her car and talked about my school drama. 

Rest in peace, dear Lisa. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever shine brightly.

Today, in remembrance of Lisa, I see how much she was loved, how much she was adored, and how much she brought joy to others. Her service was beautiful, touching and moving. I was deeply saddened by the news. I’ve known Teresa for a long time. She gave me my first job.  She’s always been kind to me, and Maribel has been my friend since middle school. Unfortunately I didn’t get to know Lisa, but I knew she was the baby of the fam. and thus, very special and loved- like all little sisters and daughters are. My heart goes out to this beautiful family and may god help heal your broken hearts as he takes care of your little angel in heaven.

I’m gonna miss you so much. You were my best friend. We never missed a day telling each other good morning and good night… telling each other to get to the gym.. talking about everything all day every day.. I love u. Life won’t be the same. 

I didn’t know Lisa for long but I’m so grateful for our friendship. Always so sweet and down for a good time. Her energy is contagious the way she can light up the room. I met Lisa about 13 years ago when I started getting my hair done by the one and only, Teresa.  She ALWAYS greeted me/everyone with that BIG beautiful smile. She’s the best of the best. Great friend cousin sister and even stranger to have ever walked in this earth I have no words for this immense pain knowing she won’t be a text away , always there for anyone who needed. Our smoke sessions where we would crack up about everything , our sleepovers with Monaco’s or tequila lol that laugh and smile will be missed my baby girl rest easy and be ready for when it’s my time to come to you one last time and that’ll be our forever Lisa I love you ❤️

I’m struggling to believe that Teresa and I won’t be able to take Lisa to dinner ever again.  To be able to listen to Lisa’s infectious laugh which would have us laughing with her even if we didn't fully understand the joke.  Her laugh was loud and genuine enough to make everyone else smile and laugh just from being in proximity to her .  

I will miss the effort she always made to say hello to me if I was within a one block radius of her.  Her tremendous effort to make every holiday, even superficial Hallmark holidays, special for me.  

I so enjoyed our many conversations, even when we occasionally disagreed about a topic.  Once we realized we weren’t ever going to convince the other on that particular topic, we would both just crookedly smile at each other and move on.  That’s what people with deep convictions who care about each other do.  It is one of her many remarkable traits I enjoyed experiencing, which will miss forever.  

She was such a bright spot in my life with her mother, everything seems much dimmer now.

Thank you, Lisa, for all the memories. You were my best friend throughout HS and college. Words can’t capture all the random, crazy and fun sh*t we got ourselves into. 

Although we went our separate ways after, I still cherish all of our memories together. Lisa will forever hold a place in my heart as someone who I was so close to growing up. 

I visited Lisa at SIUE during spring break 2015. She showed me where she liked to hike, and we binge watched Neil Degrassi all week.

Our first summer home from our first year at college, goofing around outside per usual.

I am shocked, in disbelief, and absolutely heartbroken to read that Lisa passed away. Lisa’s beautiful smile was only surpassed by a more beautiful soul. A genuine person with an engaging personality that greeted customers as they entered and exited her mother’s salon. 

I vividly remember time spent with her during appointments. She was so excited to talk about what she accomplished, her new career as an esthetician, and seeking out new opportunities. I can still see her face light up even behind the facemask as she talked. Lisa was a skilled esthetician. Always gentle with her hands, a good listener, very patient, and always made me feel comfortable.

I will miss Lisa. She left us too soon. I pray for her eternal rest. I also I pray for comfort, peace, and hope that memories of Lisa provide strength for the family during a time of great loss.

Lisa was such a beautiful person we clicked instantly when I met her at Paddy O's. She had a aura about her that just made you feel good and want to be her friend. She also took no crap and was extremely strong. I am so very happy that I was given the chance to meet her and be a part of her life in St. Louis. I remember when she came back to visit and we spent our birthdays together because they were so close, we had a great night.  I'll cherish her memories with me forever. 

When Lisa made her home in St. Louis, we adopted her as another sister in our big family. She had the warmest heart, and the biggest smile. She is already greatly missed. Please accept our sincerest condolences.
