Marian Evelyn Ester

Marian Evelyn Ester decided that 93 years was plenty of time for her to be our angel on earth and on March 28, 2023, she arrived in heaven for further angelic responsibilities. Marian came to us through Julius Smith and Irene Van Hoogan on November 5, 1929. For the next several years, she grew up, worked, got married, had a family, and organized rummage sales, casino trips, holiday parties, birthday parties, card parties, and picnics in Waukegan, Il. She married Alvin Ester on July 1, 1950 and was his angel for more than 70 years. Before she had children, Marian worked at Shurhit Products and National Press. After she had children, Marian devoted her heart to her family and became our angel. During retirement she traveled mostly to Green Valley, AZ, but to also Las Vegas, Reno, Atlantic City or anywhere with a casino. She loved gambling and playing games. But, her greatest love was children and grandchildren and nieces and nephews and so on. Whenever she held a child in her arms pure love and joy radiated everywhere and that is how she became everyone’s angel.

Marian is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin and her first grandchild, Dale Jr.

She is survived by her children, Dale Sr., and Renee; grandchildren, Danny, David (Kara), Desiree (Adam), and Billie; great grandchildren, Andrew, Haley, Honor, Nathaniel, and Staley: and one great-great grandchild, Andrew Jr., as well as many loving friends and family members.

Visitation will be held on April 5, 2023, starting at 11:00am at the Marsh Funeral Home, (305 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL.) The Funeral service will begin at 1:00pm and will be livestreamed.
