1 Year Anniversary 08/31/13
I cried when you passed away, I still cry today.
Although I  loved you dearly, I couldn't make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke my heart to prove to me that He only takes the best.

I'll smile with fondness and pride for the rest of my life when I think of Dad.  I admire the efforts & sacrifices of fatherhood and the love & generosity of a father which was shown to me.  I know that he touched many other lives as evidenced by the sadness for his death and celebration of his life by countless friends & family this past week.  My gratitude to Dad for all the life lessons I gained from his example.  But selfishly I still want the simple things: one more "May I" game, one more Saturday evening steak dinner, or sitting around the TV and laughing with him as the Cubs blow one more game. I'll miss you Dad.

My condolences to the entire Gancarz family.  I have nothing but fond memories of Mr. Gancarz and I always admired him for his work ethic and for the love he showed to his wonderful family.  Please find comfort with family and friends during this time of sadness.

Please accept our sincere condolences.  Rick was a wonderful man and co-worker of many years.  We share your loss.  He will forever be in our memories.

There are no words to express the sadness I feel for my sister, niece and nephew and their wonderful families.  I pray that their memories will be as sweet as my favorite memory of Rick...the day Chris and I came over to tell them we were engaged.  I had never seen such out-of-this-world joy on Rick's face and I will never forget it.  "Break out the champagne!" he said.  I would joke that for Rick, the message was "Sister-in-law unloaded!"  But I know that Rick liked Chris, and it was sheer love and joy that his wife's sister would find the kind of happiness they had. It is a very special memory.  God bless you, Rick.

Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted… “ So sad to lose Uncle Rick, our deepest sympathies to Aunt Pat, Jenny, and Mike.

Tears and sorrow in losing a wonderful uncle and devoted husband, father and grandfather. I have wonderful memories from our last visit when Uncle Rick showed such interest in my husband, his job and our married life together. He and Aunt Pat traveled to our wedding, among many other trips to see us, and kept up with our lives across the country.  He always shared warmth, love and laughter with us. Our love is with Aunt Pat, Jenny, Mike and their families.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Gancarz family during this difficult time. May all of your good memories help ease your pain and sorrow.

Romans 12:15 "Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep" Be comforted knowing that your brother is in a place of eternal joy and love. Know that we feel your loss as though it were our own.

I wish I could gather the right words to make your pain less and offer you some comfort. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
