Richard George Krieg, Age 85, lifelong resident of Waukegan, Illinois passed away June 12, 2013 in Lake Forest, IL. He was born February 22, 1928 in Waukegan, Illinois to Bernhart and Agnes Krieg. Richard was a Naval Veteran, Lake Forest College graduate, worked for EJ&E Railroad, Dexter Midland for over 24 years and Abbott Labs. He loved the outdoors, camping, photography, music, and a good restaurant. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Karin; children, Ruth (Bob) Johnson, and Richard (Jeri) Krieg; stepchildren, Thomas (Kim) Krohn, Cindy (Michael) Heaven, and Angela (Chuck) Martinelli; grandchildren, David and Natalie Johnson, Joshua (Chandra) Krieg, Riley and Kennedy Krieg, Madalyn and Timothy Krohn, Jonathan and Alyssa Heaven, Evan and Abigail Behrens, and Alex and Andrew Martinelli; great-granddaughters, Calista and Brianna Krieg. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee at 11am with visitation from 10am until time of service. Burial will be private.
