Serafin Jaime Loza

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 27th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd in Gurnee. Interment will be on Saturday, February 28th at 11:00 AM at Ascension Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1920 Buckley Road in Libertyville.

Serafin was born in on January 10, 1950, in Mexico, to Tomas and Maria Loza. He immigrated to the United States at a very young age. In 1972, he met the love of his life, Maria (nee Cruz). Serafin worked at ComEd Station 16 in Waukegan, IL, until his retirement at age 50.

Serafin is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria Loza; sons Anthony (Laurie) Siordia and Thomas Siordia; grandchildren Kylie, Anthony Jr, and Tyler Siordia, and Thomas and Jessica Morris; great-grandchildren Ryan, Adrian, Melanie and Savanna Siordia and Bella and Jiraiya Morris; sisters Neyda (Manuel) Jaime, Nena(Javier) Duran, Elva(Alfredo) Duran, Lucy Loza and Mayi (Jorge) Torres, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria S. and Tomas Loza, and brothers Jose and Eloy Loza.
