

On Sunday, July 1, 2018, Theodore "Ted" Deboise passed away peacefully at the age of 83. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, son of the late Frank and Janie DeBoise. Ted served in the United States Army. He earned his Associates Degree from Central New England College. Ted worked for 20 years as a Field Service Representative in Worcester for Heald Machine. He moved to Glen Ellyn, IL., where he worked as a Sales Representative for Cincinnati Milacron and then as a Sales Representative for DeBoise Sales Co. before retiring in 2013.
Ted enjoyed bicycling and loved sports. He was an avid Chicago Bulls and Chicago Cubs fan. He also enjoyed working with children by volunteering as a Basketball coach for Western DuPage Special Recreation Association.
Ted will always be remembered by all who knew him for his kindness, infectious smile and laugh. When family and friends would visit, he enjoyed showing them Chicago and all it had to offer. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Ted is preceded in death by his beloved first wife Martha DeBoise in 1991 and his second beloved wife Pamela McDonald DeBoise in 2015. Ted is survived by his three daughters, Karen DeBoise and her husband Jeff, Sharen DeBoise, and Lisa Skillern and her husband James; his two step-sons Robert McDonald and his wife Cathy, and Chris McDonald and his wife Mary; his two brothers Frank DeBoise and Winthrop DeBoise and his wife Juliette. He is also survived by three grandchildren; James Skillern Jr., Justin Skillern and Jayden Skillern; four step-grandsons, Jack McDonald and his wife Sara, Paul McDonald, Jacob McDonald and Lucas McDonald; three step-granddaughters, Abigail McDonald, Pamela McDonald, and Monica Thomas; two great grandchildren, Calvin Skillern and Ashlynd Skillern, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating and honoring Ted’s life will be held Friday July 20th 11:00 a.m. at DuPage AME Church, 4300 Yackley Avenue, Lisle, IL 60532. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ted’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association. WWW.ALZ.ORG
