Bernard David Roesch

Ben played varsity basketball at Rutgers and graduated in 1951. He received a Masters of Science from Penn State University and then received an MBA from Columbia University in 1957. Ben was a lieutenant in the United States Air Force. He spent his distinguished career in industry as a materials engineer.

Married for 62 years to his beloved Janet, he was an adoring father to Melissa and Stephanie, father-in-law to Eric and Scott, and a proud grandfather to Hannah, Emily, Rachel, Jessica, Nathaniel, and Miriam.

An avid sports enthusiast, Ben played tennis and basketball until his late 80’s. Known by all of his friends by his nickname “Gentle Ben,” Ben’s proudest moments came when he participated in his grandchildren’s graduations and travelled around as the number one fan for each of his grandkid’s sporting events.
