Bernard Seidman

Bernard H. Seidman, 94, formerly of Teaneck, N.J., passed away Dec. 19, 2022, at his home in Hackensack, N.J. Born in the Bronx, he was the son of Lily and Jack Seidman. Bernie was a graduate of James Monroe HS, Syracuse University and Brooklyn Law School. He had a private law practice in Manhattan for more than 60 years, specializing in commercial transactions. Bernie was known for his sharp wit, kindness and generosity. He was married to Arline for 44 years until her passing in 2007. He is survived by his loving children, Joseph (Lolita), Steven and Abbe; his sister, Joan Alfert; his brother, Arnold Seidman; and grandchildren Autumn, Maya, Lily and Russell.

The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park St., Hackensack.

Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Saddle Brook, N.J.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bergen County’s United Way, at bergenunitedway.org, or Infinity Tomorrow, at infinitytoday.com. Both organizations support independence for adults with developmental disabilities in New Jersey.

A Chapel Service for Bernard will be held 11:30 AM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors.

Friends attending may begin to arrive at 10:45 am for ample time to pay respects to the family. Parking lot is located across Park Street opposite our Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 12 Market Street, Saddle Brook, NJ 07662.
