I worked with Blanche at the MARJCC at their first summer camp. She named my son a “gentle giant”. I have very fond memories of my time working with Blanche.

Remember this, Joe? This photo was taken on January 6, 2016 at your home in Edison during Laurie's and my whirlwind trip from Brisbane (with adult children Cameron and Miranda in tow), which I believe is the last time we were together with you. Laurie and I have fond memories of Blanche's and your trip to visit us Downunder several years previously (in 2012 or 2013), which included a lovely stroll and lunch alongside the Brisbane River. Of the many experiences you and Blanche had on your southern-hemisphere trip, the one that stands out in my mind is Blanche recounting her zipline excitement in, I believe, New Zealand. The way she described it, you almost had to pull her off of there -- she would have zoomed the zipline again and again had she had her way!
For those reading this who don't know us (Mike and Laurie Lefcourt), the family connection is this: Joe is my second cousin as he was my late mother's (Barbara Lefcourt, nee Morn) first cousin. I have many old photos from my grandparents' photo collection in which Joe and Barbara appear.

Steve, Vaughan, Ian and I are sorry to hear the news of Blanche’s death.
Blanche was instrumental in shaping my life as it exists today. She recommended that I attend social work school. My career as a hospice social worker would not have been possible without Blanche’s early direction.

We are all so sorry to hear of Blanche’s passing and offer our condolences to all. Tracey, Sofia and I recall meeting up with Blanche and Joe in Southampton just before they set off on a cruise. We had just moved to England and we were able to spend a few happy moments together as family. Shortly after that my mother passed and Blanche and Joe were there to provide comfort and support. A few years later we were back in NY and Blanche and Joe hosted a gathering of family  on one of the rare occasions our far flung relatives happened to be in one location at the same time.  Thank you for your support, guidance, and for simply being there for us throughout the years.
