Edward Mach passed away peacefully on September 27. Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by sons Jon and Dan, grandchildren Ilan, Arielle, Yarden, Nava and Tatum, daughters-in-law Alle Ries and Kim Parker, and brother Joe. His devoted wife Louise pre-deceased him in 2015.
Ed was born June 5, 1941 in the Bronx. His family moved to Teaneck when he was 8. He graduated Teaneck High School and then the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in accounting. He was a CPA for over 50 years, first with his father and then as a solo practitioner.
Ed’s first love was his family, but his second love was the Yankees. He loved recounting stories of games he had attended, including how his Uncle Al would sneak him into games for free. He was also an avid reader and New York Times crossword puzzler. He worked on his last puzzle just days before he passed away. He and his wife loved to travel, often repeatedly to the same destinations.
Ed will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
