Happy Birthday in Heaven, my friend Emma.  Think of you often and want to let you know . . . you are very missed.  Your neighbor Kathy


Emma was a Beth Israel School of Nursing grad. She was head nurse on Beth Israel Hospital's medical floor - 9 Dazian Pavilion called "9 West".  Back in 1975 her floor was staffed with RNs that had all recently graduated BI as well. We were young and all shared the ideal of holistic nursing a new concept. Emma was a wonderful patient teacher and had a great sense of humor too!  I fondly remember daily morning round and report over coffee and cake. We all were friends, loyal to each other and our work.   We grew up and went our separate ways but never forgot each other..weddings, babies, funerals , grad schools.  Where did our time go?  Emma you are never forgotten....

I am so sad to hear about Emma. We have known each other since our days at Cabrini and caught up on each other’s latest news at many wonderful dinners. She will be missed. 

So saddened to hear of Emma's passing. Emma became a sweet friend in spite of the big age gap between us. I always looked forward to our monthly face time chats where we talked about everything under the sun! Emma, I will miss you so much. Rest in peace and your memory is a true blessing!

Emma was a smart, stylish and accomplished neighbor and friend. She will be greatly missed.  Sincerest sympathy to her family. 

I will cherish my memories of Emma-her friendship and love-always.  I miss her so.  May beautiful  memories help ease the pain for her family and friends. 

My heartfelt condolences to Emma's family and friends.  Emma was special and will be greatly missed.  Someone once told me that you can cry because they are gone, or smile because they were here.  Having known Emma I will be smiling.
Emma is now at peace.

Sending my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Emma.  Emma was a good friend for many years.  I remember working with her and hearing her come down the hall with the clickety-clack of her high heels.  And speaking of shoes, she was one of the best dressed women I know.  She also had great taste in selecting restaurants.  We had many a good meal together enjoying good conversation and a lot of laughs.  I will miss her and will hold her in my heart forever.  May her memory be a blessing.
