GAIL JOAN KAHN passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024, in Englewood, NJ. Born Gail Joan Kucharsky in Brooklyn, NY, on January 13, 1948, Gail was the youngest child of David Kucharsky and Rosalind Berman. After graduating from New Utrecht High School, she spent some years in Maryland before moving back to New Jersey after meeting the love of her life, Stephen Kahn, in the 1980s. They were married in 1984 in New York and lived many happy years together in Dumont, NJ, before Stephen passed away in 2014. Gail worked at the Kaplan JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly, NJ, before leaving her job to take care of Stephen full time after he fell sick in 2007. She is survived by her three step-children: Raymond Kahn, Lisbeth Kahn and Natalie Toewe; two step-grandchildren: Stephen Kahn and Troy Toewe; a beloved brother Samuel Kucharsky; two devoted nephews: David and Jason Kucharsky, and grandnieces and nephews: Jeffrey, Lindsey, and Lilith Kucharsky. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to the JCC where Gail worked for so many years.
A graveside service for Gail will be held Friday, July 5, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Beth - El Cemetery, Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652.
