Sunshine, Gilbert of Tenafly passed peacefully early the morning of April 15th, 2015 at 92 years old from complications of influenza and pneumonia. A child and stalwart supporter of Jersey City, he was an accountant and principle of Gilbert Sunshine & Company serving hundreds of small business clients through the area for more than 50 years. He was a respected member of the Hudson County CPA community. Gilbert was a veteran of WWII 29th Army infantry, having landed in the first week of the Normandy invasion, crossed the Rhine and rose to Staff Sergeant in general's staff. He has been a long member of Ahavoth Torah in Englewood NJ. He and his wife of more than 60 years, Silvia, raised three children in Tenafly, NJ: Philip, Jeffrey and Jessica. He is survived by them, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
