Harriet Ruth Dank

A humble and soft-spoken woman of many colors, Harriet always looked on the bright side of life. A teacher by trade and a clown by nature, her ability to connect with others through joy became her lasting impression on all who knew her. Her greatest happiness was providing joy to others. The love, passion, and wonder she brought into the world remind us not to take life too seriously and to always find a reason to smile.

Harriet is survived by her devoted husband, Robert; her children, Cindy, Bernard, Arnold, Robyn, and Heather; and her cherished grandchildren, Drew, Michael, Yehuda, Adina, Tehila, Esther, Asher, Ben, Ali, Ari, and Rina.

May her memory be a joyous blessing.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, New Jersey. Burial will follow immediately at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey.

Shiva will be observed at 1 Cedar Crest, Pompton Plains, New Jersey 07444, from 1:00-3:00 PM.

הרייט רכט דנק (חיה ווטה בת מנשה צבי), ז״ל, בת 86, נפטרה בשלווה בביתה ביום כ״ו בניסן תשפ״ו (24 באפריל 2026).

אישה צנועה ורכה בדיבורה, הרייט נשאה את עצמה בענווה ובחן שקט, והערכה עמוקה לטוב שבחיים. מורה במקצועה ושמחה ברוחה, הייתה לה היכולת המיוחדת לעודד אחרים ולהאיר כל מקום אליו נכנסה. חייה היו מלאים חסד, חום ואהבת אדם אמיתית. כל מי שזכה להכיר אותה יזכור את עדינותה, את חוש ההומור שלה, ואת יכולתה למצוא שמחה גם ברגעים הפשוטים ביותר.

את סיפוקה הגדול מצאה בהבאת שמחה לאחרים ובאהבה שחלקה עם משפחתה. נוכחותה הייתה מקור לנחמה ולכוח, ומורשתה ממשיכה לחיות בלבבות כל מי שנגעה בהם.

הרייט הותירה אחריה את בעלה המסור, רוברט; ילדיה, סינדי, ברנרד, ארנולד, רובין והדר; ונכדיה האהובים, דרו, מייקל, יהודה, עדינה, תהילה, אסתר, אשר, בן, אלי, ארי ורינה.

תהא זכרה ברוך, ותהא נשמתה צרורה בצרור החיים.

הלוויה תתקיים ביום ראשון, כ״ח בניסן תשפ״ו (26 באפריל 2026), בשעה 9:30, בבית הלוויות Gutterman and Musicant, רח׳ Park 402, האקנסאק, ניו ג׳רזי. הקבורה תתקיים מיד לאחר מכן בבית העלמין Cedar Park Cemetery, רח׳ Forest 735, פרמוס, ניו ג׳רזי.
