Helene Rabin

March 16, 1937-November 13, 2025

Helene Rabin, aged 88, passed away November 13,2025. She was a resident of Hackensack, New Jersey, formerly of Fort Lee and Englewood. Helene was born on March 16,1937 in Brooklyn, NY. At aged nineteen, she married the love of her life, Manny, and they were together for 68 years. Just as Manny would do anything for her, Helene picked up from Brooklyn and moved to Hagerstown, Maryland where she set up her new home. There, Helene and Manny would develop friendships that would endure a lifetime.

It was in Hagerstown where Helene first became interested in antiques, and for the next 50 years, she amassed an amazing collection of beautiful antiques including her prized Majolica collection.

Helene was a smart, sophisticated and loving woman who loved to eat but was never hungry! She would always say,” I will have a bite of yours” and proceed to finish everything on the plate. She was a fashionista in her heyday and prided herself on dressing and putting on her makeup and jewelry every single day, until the end!

Helene is survived by her children Michele Sarfin(Kenneth),Liz Sussman(Stephen Rader) and Marc(Lori) as well as her grandchildren Philip Sarfin(Alexandra Hershorn) , David Sarfin, Halle Sarfin(Jason Meister), Jared Sussman, Abbie Sussman, Rachel Polans(Spencer) and Rebecca Rabin(Josh Schegolev). Her grandchildren were her pride and joy for the last 37 years. She spoke of them often and had an incredibly special and unique relationship with each one.

The funeral will be at 11:00AM on Sunday November 16, 2025, at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Avenue, West Babylon, NY.

Please meet me at the cemetery office no later than 10:45AM.

Shiva will be observed at the home of Marc and Lori Rabin
