Itisoara Iftode, 60, of Paramus, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, July 29th following a valiant battle with lung cancer. Known to her loved ones as Ita, she is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Emil, her sons, Andrew and Matt, her daughter-in-law, Michelle, and her cherished granddaughter Eliana. She was predeceased by her beloved mother Eidica Leibovici in 1994.
Ita was born and raised in Galati, Romania and graduated from the University of Bucharest with a degree in French and Linguistics. She immigrated to the United States in 1983 and settled in Paramus in 1988. Over the past 20 years, Ita had a distinguished career in the engineering industry, most recently serving as a proud member of the Construction Management Group at URS Corp in New York, NY. She was a loving and loyal friend to many and will be dearly missed.
Chapel services will be held Wednesday July 30th at 1:00pm Gutterman-Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ita’s name may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society
