Paul was born on January 23rd, 1936, the son of Arthur and Mary Rosenberg. He spent his early life in Brooklyn, attending Erasmus Hall High School. He went on to graduate from NYU, where he was a member of the 1957 NCAA gold medal fencing team. Paul started out as a high school teacher, and then spent most of his career as a cemetery manager and a monument dealer.
He is survived by his children, Larry (Pam) Rosenberg, Michael (Lisa) Rosenberg, and Tracy (Vincent) Lashley, and by grandchildren Jacob, Benjamin, Hannah, Matthew and Aiden.
