Susan Roberta Leaf

Susan Leaf, 84, of Hackensack, New Jersey passed away on December 26, 2025. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed. Susan was born in the Bronx, New York on October 14, 1941 to Max and Sylvia Weitz. After graduating from Adelphi University in 1962, she was a dedicated teacher in the Bronx and Woodbridge, New Jersey until she met her beloved Manny Leaf. She and Manny started a family and Susan was a passionate and devoted mother and wife. Her other great passion was for the card game bridge. Susan was a regular for decades at various Bridge clubs and tournaments including the Glenrock Bridge Club in Maywood, New Jersey. Susan is survived by her daughter, Julie Leaf (Bryan) of Burlington, Vermont; her son Larry Leaf (Pamela) of Montclair, New Jersey; and her son Brian Leaf of Northampton, Massachusetts; her beloved grandchildren, Alex, Natalia, Mia, and Benji as well as her granddog Mable; and her brother Alan Weitz (Ruth). She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 46 years, Manny Leaf. The family would like to express gratitude to Gloria Luz Gonzolez for taking such great care of Susan in the final years of her life.
