PYKE, Allan J. – 81 of Halifax, passed away on May 15, 2021 in the Saint Vincent Nursing Home. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late John and Irene (Kenefick) Pyke. Dad is loved and and was well known in the North End of Halifax and was affectionately known as the Mayor of Gottingen Street. Dad loved to sing and enjoyed singing with the Shining Lights Choir which was put together through the Metro non-profit housing association. He performed on Christmas Daddies as well as the Natal Day parades with Sadie Sampson. He is survived by his loving children: Charlie (Verna Clarke), Tina (David Gayle) Anderson, Kathleen (Kwane Williams) Pyke-Williams, Kimberley (Reynaldo Charlton) Pyke, Joseph (Shaylyn Cromwell), sister; Lollie, brother; Clyde, 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Survived by his previous wife; Bonnie. He was predeceased by his first wife; Christina, siblings; Shirley, Bev, Sharon and Diane, brothers; Walter, George, Donnie, Doug.
