My condolences to you. I cannot tell you how sad I was to know your dad had passed away. Tony was the best friend you could ever meet. My friend Paule and i have so many happy memories of him. We shared good food and wine with him often. Your dad made us laugh often with his witty jokes and humor. I still miss him as we met so often at the market and shared a hug. Your dad was a wonderful man and sadly missed. Rip my sweet Tony.

Just found out by Mort Small.  Sorry to hear about Tony we were friends a few years back. He was a wonderful person and loved to cook.  I always enjoyed his gourmet meals.

I am devastated to hear of Tony's passing. We were the best of friends and I truly loved him for his sense of humor and keen insight into the mysteries of life. In the 60's we spent many enjoyable evenings roaming Halifax as teenagers and frequented places like the Cue and Cushion, Cameo restaurant and frat house parties notably Zeta Psi. I very much enjoyed his hospitality in Montreal where he was working as a stock broker while I was still a student at Dalhousie. I enjoyed reminding him of his hot tip to buy Black River Mining (busted).  I had hoped to see him later this year; although he told me he had cancer as usual  he made it seem to be no problem as he did with all of the problems in his life. For me it is the end of another era. He will be terribly missed.

My condolences  to Su,Lei and family. Tony was my best friend in Halifax and my neighbour. He was an excellent cook and a pleasant company. My heart is
broken. I was planning to visit Halifax this summer and see him. I had a phone call from him the day of my birthday in March. I was away and planning to talk to him. Tony had a good life and he will always be in my heart. I wish him peace in another world. Paule Guillemette

Dearest Su and Lei, very sorry to hear about the passing of your father. I know that my mother has very found memories of him as a child. Mom told me she was there the day he was born. My parents often looked after him when your Granny was away. There are many pictures at mom's of him as a little tyke.
Both of my parents held a special place for him.
