

Darline was born in Halifax and is the daughter of the late Marion (Johnston) of Halifax and Raymond Mansfield of Sunnyville, Guysborough. She leaves behind siblings Betty, Debbie, Patricia, Brenda, and Diane of Halifax, Geraldine and Alice of Sunnyville, Guysborough, Peter of Quebec and Raymond (Diana) of Alberta as well as uncles Harold (Mabel) of East Preston and Gordon of Halifax. She also leaves behind her boyfriend Kirk Williams and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She deeply loved and was loved by nieces and nephews Demond, Raymond Jr., Rachelle, Tamara, Jessica, Melissa, Jordan, Chantelle, Reana and Tyrone; great-nieces Jaylyn, Aniyah and Aminah and great-nephew Deandre.
Darline was a kind and much-loved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, partner, co-worker and a great friend to many. “Woman” worked with dedication and integrity for forty years with the Atlantic Superstore, first at IGA in Bedford and most recently at the Joseph Howe store. She enjoyed card games and socializing with family and good friends. One of her greatest joys was going to the Halifax waterfront, laying in a hammock and listening to her favorite music while watching over the comings and goings in the harbour. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 15th from 4 pm to 6 pm followed by a service at Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home located at 2666 Windsor Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
