David Richard Paris

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved David Parris, of Africville, Nova Scotia, who went home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2026.

David was the beloved son of Helena Parris.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Angela Parris, whom he loved dearly.

David was a devoted father to his children: sons David Jr. and Karon (shinean), and daughters Santisha (Steve), Tellisha, Kathy (Jeff), and Giselle. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Narissa Cunningham, whose memory remained a cherished part of his life. He also leaves behind a cherished special daughter Anita Paris.

He also leaves behind 24 cherished grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, who will carry his love and memory in their hearts.

David is also survived by his loving siblings: Carrie (Ray), Marlene, Annette, and Brother Nicky. He was predeceased by his brother, Tim.

David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Nova Scotia Health Palliative Care Services and the VN nurses for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion shown to David throughout his journey. Your dedication, patience, and support brought comfort not only to David but also to our entire family during an incredibly difficult time. We will forever be grateful for the dignity, love, and respect with which you cared for him.

A special thank you is also extended to Leah Kennedy, Funeral Director at Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, (The greatest ) for her kindness, compassion, and guidance during this difficult time. Your thoughtfulness and support have meant so much to our family as we honour David’s life and prepare to say our final goodbyes.

In keeping with David's wishes there will be no funeral service.
