

Age 66, of Halifax, passed away March 18, 2014, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Toronto, he was a son of the late Walter John and Myra (Penney) Parsons.
David grew up in St. John’s, Newfoundland and considered himself a “Newfoundlander.” The Parsons family moved to Nova Scotia in 1963, where David attended Halifax West High School. He was a graduate of Dalhousie University and spent most of his life in the real estate business.
He is survived by son, Philip; daughters, Nancy Andrea Parsons and Emily Rose Parsons, both of Toronto; brother, Peter (Deborah) Parsons, Lower Sackville; sisters, Ruth (Allen) Warner, Lower Sackville; Jacquelyn (Douglas) Fowler, Saint John, N.B.
David was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Siddall) Parsons.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 20, from 7 – 9 p.m. in Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street. Funeral service will be held in Bethany United Church, at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, with Rev. Vincent Ihasz officiating.
