SCALLION, David Frederick – 78, of Halifax, passed away peacefully in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, He was the son of the late Frederick and Margaret (Rolfe) Scallion. He will be dearly missed by daughters; Kelly and Lisa (Rich) Billard, and his son David Boymook. He was predeceased by his beautiful wife Nancy. David lived a fulfilling life as a loving husband, father and friend. He began his 32-year career as a Captain with the Air Force when he was 19 years old. During his service, he was a navigator for the Argus aircraft, and an instructor which included teaching survival school for summer/winter bush, sea, and arctic survival. He kept busy in retirement with hobbies (golfing, bowling, and watching the world go by at the family cottage). David made cherished friends through his work, his wife’s nursing class, golfing, bowling, his neighbors at the cottage, and more. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
