Born and raised in Clare, just like her favorite flower, the wild daisy, Debbie brought a simple, bright joy to everyone who knew her. She was a tiny sun that seemed to forget to set.
Debbie graduated from Acadia University in 1992 and from NSIT in 2000. She built a fulfilling career as an electrical technologist and project manager with the Department of National Defence. Always an artist at heart, Debbie embraced her love of creativity and took up painting during her retirement.
She was a cherished sister, a loyal friend, and a devoted mother to her son, Isaac, who was her pride and joy. Debbie was a strong and courageous woman who faced life’s challenges with determination and a smile until the very end.
She will be deeply missed by her mother, Elva Daigle; her son, Isaac Fiander; her brothers, Adrien (Michelle) Daigle and Keith (Brenda) Daigle; her three nieces, Emma, Jessie, and Lauren; as well as her many friends, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was predeceased by her father, Donald Daigle.
May Debbie now rest peacefully in fields of endless light, surrounded by the beauty and warmth she brought to the lives of others.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Clare.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Autism Nova Scotia.
