

Born to the late Roderick and Lillian (Hobin) DeBay, and predeceased by her beloved brother Jim, Diane is survived by her devoted brother Rod and her nephews Dennis (Amy), Drew (Danielle), and Devin (Dawn). Grand-nieces Addy and Norrie, and grand-nephew Arlo warmed her heart and forever brought a smile to her face. Diane will also be deeply missed by her aunt Aldonna Clark; her dear friend Georgina Scott; her cousin Sherri DeBay; and her cousin Deborah Ann (Mike) Babec, all of whom held a special place in her life.
A thoughtful, caring, and deeply faithful sister, aunt, cousin, godmother, and friend. Diane lived a life grounded in kindness, quiet generosity and faith. She lovingly cared for her mother, Lillian, and played a central role in the lives of her nephews offering steady support, guidance, and affection throughout their lives. Her gentle presence and unwavering compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Resting at Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 from 10am with service at 11am at the funeral home. Family flowers only.
