

Janette was born in Meadowville N.S., the youngest of four siblings, to John William and Margaret Catherine Murray. She was known for her cheerful outlook, caring nature, love of family and church and sassy smile.
Janette graduated in nursing from the Grace Maternity Hospital, where she cared for newborns and their mothers; officially retiring after 25 years, only to continue working part time until 70! She loved her work, and the close working and social relationships she enjoyed with her colleagues.
While a young nurse, Janette met " the love of her life”, Thomas Guy, Tom to all. They had a loving and devoted relationship for over 50 wonderful years, until Tom's passing in 2001.
Janette is survived by her daughters, Janet Guy-Hamilton, Worcester, MA, Margaret Guy and her remarkable son-in-law, Robert McKelvie, Halifax and her
cherished grandchildren, Sean McKelvie (Lucy), Emma Edmonds (Sam), Halifax, Matthew Guy-Hamilton, Boston, Rebecca Guy-Hamilton, Cambridge, MA., and Kathryn Guy-Hamilton, NewYork, who remember their “Nannie” with love.
Janette was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, her brothers Harold (Hazel) Murray, Russell (Annie) Murray and her beloved sister Erma ( Stan) McLaren.
Janette's radiance, her love of life, friendship and compassion for others, will be missed dearly by family and friends.
