Transitioned to Heaven from home on Monday, February 4, 2019, in Halifax NS. She was born December 8, 1930 in Liverpool NS to Helen Jarvis-Cunningham and Harry Cunningham. She attended school in Liverpool NS.

Edith lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, talking and laughing with family and friends. She loved scratching lotto tickets, especially bingo. She enjoyed putting puzzles together for many years. She loved knitting slippers for people and really looked forward to playing cards with family every Thursday and the end of the month with Aunt Margaret, cousin Jane, Aunt Evie, others, and she usually won!”

She loved Johnny Reid and Shaggy concerts. She loved people stopping by, calling her on the phone, she loved standing on the balcony waving to many friends & family who walked by each day. When Edith moved, she really missed that part of her life.

My deepest condolences to Barb, Carol, Brenda, Rose and Julie plus the grandchildren and rest of the Cunningham family. I am going to miss Momma C very much. She always had a way of making me feel good. She told me she loved me everytime I saw her which meant so much to me. We had a good talk the night of Rose's party to which she told me a few things I needed to hear, didn't want to hear but she told me anyway. I loved how she could make me see what I was doing wrong without hurting my feelings.

I wish I could be home with you but I am most definitely there in spirit. May God keep his loving arms around you all. Stay blessed and I love you.

My wife Jane and I were sad to hear about the passing of your mom. Jane never met many of the people I grew up with on the Cobequid Road but I told her many stories. Many elders like your mom have moved on to heaven. She is gone but will always be remembered. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

Edie > My memories of her go way back in time. She loved to laugh at the humor of others and oh she loved to dance. > Full of life! At times she gave you girls a run for your money but I chalked that up to making sure she had your attention for she was so proud and loved all of you. One could really tell by the way she would say your names how much she loved you. Grandchildren and all she was so proud and what a beautiful family she was partly responsible for putting on this earth. I was so glad that this past Christmas Eve when Barb was visiting she had past her phone over for me to chat with her Mom. Carol was on the other end. It was not a clean conversation and we all laughed so hard in that short time which was my last talk/laugh with Edie and I will never forget it.
Sincere Condolences to the entire Family.
Rest In Peace Dear Edie > It was a pleasure knowing you. oxo > God Bless
