Butler, Elizabeth “Betty” Jean (LeRue) age 66 of Halifax, passed away December 7, 2016 in The QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary Site. Born in Halifax, in July 1950 she was a daughter of the late George and Melita (Sampson) LeRue. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ralph. Although Betty had no children of her own she was like a mother for her nieces and nephews and all children she cared for. She is also survived by sisters Bernadette (Laurie) Dalrymple; ON, Clendon Dewolfe ,Sackville; Mary LeRue, Sackville , Nora LeRue , Halifax; brothers Gus LeRue ( Sandra) , Sackville; Bert LeRue, Williamswood; Ron LeRue (Kris) , Cole Harbour, Dennis LeRue ( Bev) Cole Harbour and Mike LeRue ( Bev) ,East Dalhousie and many terrific nieces and nephews. A service will be held 10 am Saturday December 17, 2016 in Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax followed by an interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
