Elizabeth Ann Moore

76, Bedford, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 10, 2022, in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in North Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Water Judson and Katherine (Cassie) Belle (Burton) Tingley. She worked and volunteered at various businesses within the community of Pleasant Bay, including Black Whale Restaurant, the Highland Fling Gift Shop, the Whale Interpretive Center as well as family-owned businesses, Pleasant Bay Fish Company Ltd. and MidTrail Motel & Inn. She loved her family and friends, gardening, animals, her rescue cats Tux & Cedo, road trips, music, and her sense of humor brought lots of laughter to all. She will be sadly missed by her son Matthew, brothers, Duval (Linda), Lester (Jenny); Sister, Evelyna Hussey; Brothers In-Law, Lester Fraser, Edward (Patricia) Fraser; numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband of 39 years Claude Moore; brother Walter Joseph Tingley; sisters in-law Anna Katherine “Nan” (MacLeod) Tingley, Sandra (Moore) Fraser, Helen (Urquhart) MacLean; brothers in-law John (Jack) Hussey, John Urquhart, Lauchie Urquhart. A Celebration of Life will be held in Pleasant Bay, Cape Breton at a later time. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the St. Andrew’s United Church in Pleasant Bay, Cape Breton via e-Transfer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
