

Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Harriett (Cole) Hayden.
Evelyn was known for her warm smile, sense of humour, kind and loving spirit. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her family meant everything to her, and she always put them first. She saw the best in everyone. Evelyn had a passion for being healthy physically and spiritually. Evelyn was very passionate about her faith and beliefs in the Lord. She also loved to walk and run, anyone that new her would have seen her daily on the Bedford Highway. Evelyn loved to travel, which Malcolm and she did quite often. She had a great life with a family that loved and adored her.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter Gerrianne Pain (Tony) of Saint John NB. Her sons, Darren Pain (Pamela) of Riverview, NB and Roger Pain of Halifax. Her two sisters Marion (Port Coquitlam, BC) and Shirley (Toronto). Her four precious grandchildren, Michael and Christoper Setchell and Katie and Jessica Pain, and many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Malcolm Pain who had been married for 64 years. Her two sisters Rita and Lillian, her 4 brothers Kenny, Raymond, Donny and William all from Halifax.
Visitations will be held March 12 from 5pm – 7pm at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax, NS. Funeral Service will be held March 13 at 11am. Burial in Gates of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
Evelyn’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Rest in Peace Mom, you will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
