Faustina Casson

Casson , Faustina Jessie, 86, Halifax, passed away July 12,2012 at Halifax Infirmary. Born in Mitchell’s Bay, Halifax County. She was a daughter of the late Austin and Bertha (Worthen) Doyle. She loved golf and Tiger Woods was her idol. A weekend never went by that she wasn’t glued to the TV admiring him. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved attending all their various functions. She enjoyed travelling and shopping most of all. The most important things in her life were her children, grandchildren and all the times spent together as family. Mom was our hero and will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Doreen (Leo) Lahaie, Janice (Charles) Leights; son, Patrick (Debbie) Fleet; daughter in heart, Caroline (Bill) Rose; sister, Phyllis Wenham; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Timothy Fleet, as well as her second husband Edward Casson; son, David Fleet; sisters, Dorothy Publicover, Jayne Turner; and brother, Ernest Doyle.

Funeral service will be held 10am Wednesday July 18, 2012 in St. Agnes Church, Mumford Rd. Halifax. Fr. John Williams officiating. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would like to thank the staff of Sobeys, Mill Cove, EHS, Dr. Jan MacVey and the staff of the Emergency Department at the Halifax Infirmary for their care and compassion shown to our Mom and our family.
