

Wagner, Fred Ronald, 73, of Halifax, passed away January 20, 2011 at the QE II Halifax Infirmary. Born in Halifax he was the son of Pearl Wagner. Fred served in the Army Reg. and Reserves Army for 19 ½ years, he was CWO of P.L.F., worked at Scotia Branch Legion and the A.N.A.F. Club as a bartender. He also played in the over 50 ball for Scotia Legion and was very active in darts. Fred was also a volunteer fire fighter with the Onslow/Belmont Fire Department and volunteered at Hope Cottage. He is survived by his wife Maxine (Eyre) Wagner; son Kevin Wagner of Halifax; daughters Cathi Stevenson (Bob), Dartmouth, Terri Cogswell (Patrick), Elmsdale; sister, Nancy Noseworthy,N.L.; grandchildren, Alexis Stevenson, Zach Stevenson, Robert “RJ” Stevenson, Kaitlyn Wagner, and Jillian Wagner. He was predeceased by his mother; grandmother Becky and uncle Blair. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, (902) 423-7295. Visitation will take place on Sunday January 23, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral service to be held on Monday January 24, 2011 at 10am in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. Family flowers only.
