Gary Winston Carlton

Age 72 of Halifax, passed away in the Victoria General Hospital, QEII, on June 4, 2014. He was a son of the late Henry and Lillian (Jack) Carlton. Gary was an avid enthusiast of NASCAR racing. He was a kind and gentle soul, he also a lover of animals and would often donate his time at local veterinary hospitals. Gary enjoyed going to Sunday flea markets, he often acted as the DJ at “The Club”. He is survived by brother, Fred of Lakeside; several half-brothers and half-sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10 from 6-7pm in Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, where Memorial Service will be held 7 pm Tuesday with Rev. Carson Baxter officiating. Burial will be 7 pm Wednesday in St. Andrew’s Cemetery Lakeside. The Family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at the Cobequid Health Center ,the QEII Emergency and 6a in the Victoria General , Centennial building and last but not least , the staff at white Hills Long Term Care facility for their care and compassion shown to Gary and family.
