Genevieve Margaret MacDonald Johnson

Johnson, Genevieve Margaret, 73, of Halifax, passed away peacefully January 8, 2011 at the VG Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter if the late Allan and Ethel (Forhan) MacDonald. Genevieve was outgoing and loved time spent with her family. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles; sons Petie (Cindy), Halifax, Chuckie (Kathy), Halifax, Darrold (Debbie), Sackville; daughters, Beverley (Thomas) MacLean, Halifax, Shirley Johnson (Jimmy) , Halifax, Marlene Johnson (Harry), Darlene Johnson (Dave), Halifax; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers Jimmy (Alice) Halifax; sister Jean, Halifax, Patsy (George) British Columbia; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister Doris and brother Danny. Visitation will take place from 2-4pm on Thursday January 13, 2011 at Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax, (902) 423-7295. A graveside service will be held on Friday January 14, 2011 at 11 AM in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
