I met George many years ago in Toronto. He was the partner of my good friend Marie Bielby. Over the years I witnessed the amazing thinks he created by hand. A patchwork quilt, recovering furniture and the most amazing thing to me, creating a Christmas environment within an apartment unit for Alex., by making a fireplace from boxes and tape that you could actually anticipate Santa coming down the chimney. His cooking skills were beyond belief, he could make a meal out of nothing. the one thing we shared was "The Betty Crocker Cook Book." After using my battered copy a few times I bought him one at Christmas many years ago.
Good night God Bless sleep well my friend on your journey to heaven. x
