Geraldine Theresa Evans

Evans, Geraldine Theresa, 81 of Halifax passed away October 5, 2011 at home. Born in Halifax she was a daughter of the late Robert and Verriel Bayers. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Geraldine enjoyed bingo, doing puzzles, gardening, shopping and reading. Her pets always held a special place in her heart. She is survived by sons, Robert (Cathy), Michael, Kenny, Joseph (Rebecca) Patrick and Phillip; daughters Hilda, Trudy (Bill) and Anne; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Douglas Leo; son Douglas; brother Kenny, and sister Hilda. Visitation will be held on Sunday October 9, from 6-8pm and Monday October 10 from 2-4 and 6-8pm, in Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday October 11th at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church, Brunswick Street. Interment to follow in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Sackville.
