Age 96, passed away peacefully on Dec 4, 2019 at Northwood Centre, Halifax. Born in Chéticamp Sept 1, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Josephine (Leblanc) Romard. She married her true love, Linus, on Aug 29, 1955.
Germaine is survived by daughters Louise and Cécile (Douglas), grandsons Myles and Jack Leverman, sisters Dora (Sr. Mary Cecilia), Theresa, Agnes and Dorothy, brothers Larry, Jean and Roger, and dear friend Judy Kimber. She was predeceased by her husband Linus, son-in-law Ian Kennedy, sister Marie-Hélène, brothers Wilfred, Aurèle and Arthur.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec 11, 2019 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 at Cruikshank Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Funeral mass will be Thursday, Dec 12, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 6903 Mumford Road, Halifax, Fr. Irek Bem officiating. Reception to follow in church hall. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
