59, Whites Lake, passed away Monday, February 2, 2009, in the VG Site, QEII, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Sydney, Australia, she was a daughter of Marjorie (Woods) Hones and the late John Kingston Hones. She was a devoted wife and mother, an avid bird watcher, and an amateur photographer. Gwenneth was a "Soccer" mom, PTA supporter and was retired from the Royal Bank. She is survived by her husband, Herb; sons, Aaron, Spryfield; James, Sydney, Australia, and Scott, Halifax; sister, Aileen (Bernie) Power, Australia; brothers, Donald (Pepe) and John (Joanne), both of Australia; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Helen. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday in J.A. Snow's Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., where funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Kevin Little officiating. Burial in Sunrise Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or The Salvation Army.
